Lily Lu

For the last couple of days, my kids have tolerated my somewhat chaotic work schedule. They have come along with me on appointments, played in my office & kept themselves busy as I talked on the phone. As much as I would like to say that this is what we do every day - it's not. A whole day dedicated to fun, dress up & a few treats.
Today Lily was invited to her little girlfriend Janelle's 5th birthday party. We all met at the mall, had lunch at Ruby's diner & then took 4 little ladies to a place called 'Libby Lu'. For those of you who don't know, Libby Lu is a place where the girls get to dress up in make believe fairytale clothes, the employees paint their nails, doll up their hair & the little girls get to pick out a back pack full of 'girly stuff.' At the very end, the birthday girl picks a song and they all learn a dance routine. So, I probably wouldn't have picked this place, afraid of encouraging too much make up and looking like a flusy, but the girls loved it. And it was over the top PINK, but it wasn't bad. Kristian tagged along and tolerated the afternoon.

Peace.
We purchased this dress up fairy costume. She can wear it for Halloween & for the little boys costume party tomorrow.
A picture on the hammock.
Lily Lu & Kristian too.

Okay, so Kristian tolerated nothing. I bribed him with bubble gum & a video game. What? Don't act like any of you Mommies haven't ever bribed your kids. And if you haven't, then just wait till you have more or they are old enough to cop an attitude.
" Earth to Kristian; fairies have landed in our yard" ...... nothing. He doesn't even look up for a second. Don't worry Bub, tomorrow is Boy Birthday Day. Hang in there, pirates, swords & a treasure map, oh boy!
